Award-winning app development platform, KnowledgeKube, has helped technology start-up GAPro Systems to quickly secure its first win after launching the ‘next big thing’ to hit the insurance industry.
GAPro aims to shake up the insurance industry by replacing the paper-based proof of insurance certification system with a digitised approach – reducing administration costs for all stakeholders.
The GAPro system, which allows stakeholders to verify and confirm proof of insurance, integrates thousands of data sources, including more than 2,500 insurance carriers operating in the US alone.
Although the solution is highly complex, GAPro was able to develop a Proof-of-Concept in just three weeks by utilising the power of data agnostic app development platform, KnowledgeKube. As no manual coding is required to develop an application using the platform, GAPro Systems quickly achieved an enterprise level PoC solution that fulfilled its requirements.
The US based start-up has now signed its first deal with the National Association of Professional Agents (NAPA), an association dedicated to the support of independent Life & Health and Property & Casualty agents and agencies. NAPA’s exclusive broker-administrator is Gallagher MGA.
Headquartered in Lakewood Ranch, FL, Gallagher MGA is a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher, one of the largest insurance brokers in the world.
While the initial pilot program is focused on proving GAPro’s technology and functionality with 17,000 policies, the long term strategy is to implement this technology with more than 120,000 policies and users annually. Insurance coverage tracking and verification for agents will be drastically improved and streamlined through the use of the GAPro System.
“Insurance accounts for 7% of the global economy. GAPro’s vision is to rewire the entire global insurance confirmation and compliance verification landscape. We could not have picked a more perfect match for our initial pilot project” said Chet Gladkowski, CMO/ CIO at GAPro. “KnowledgeKube’s business model, culture and aggressive technology posture all align with GAPro and our vision.”
Peter Robbins, managing director at Mercato Solutions – creators of KnowledgeKube, said: “It is clear that GAPro has an ideal that will prove to be truly disruptive in the insurance industry. By helping the team develop a working proof of concept, we have enabled them to go out to investors and the insurance industry and win their first major customer – one of the top four insurance brokers globally.”
Gallagher MGA has supported NAPA and their members since 1989. “We believe partnering with GAPro will bring enormous benefits to their membership and simplify one of the many challenges an independent agent faces in today’s insurance industry” says Ted Baran, Director of Business development for Gallagher MGA.
