Android Developer Tools

Android Developer Tools, or the Android SDK (software development kit), are a set of tools for developing applications for the Android platform.

The Android SDK is updated when Google releases a new version of Android - developers must then install the correct version of the SDK for each particular model of smartphone.

Most Android programs are written using an integrated development environment (IDE) – the recommended IDE is Eclipse with the Android Development Tools (ADT) plug-in, although there are others available.
