IntelliSense Overloads

Posted on 17 August 2016
A staggering 96% of those surveyed by application platform, KnowledgeKube, identified that more than a quarter of their processes were inefficient.

IntelliSense has always been a useful feature of the Expression Editor, but it’s become even more so with the addition of overload support. Many KnowledgeKube functions include parameters that change the behaviour of the function depending on the value they are supplied; rather than try to explain every potential behaviour in a single IntelliSense panel, the new interface initially provides the function’s basic syntax and lets you scroll through its parameters using the up and down keys on your keyboard.

The IntelliSense panel will react to how you have written the expression so far, only showing you the remaining parameters you need to include and what effect they will have on the result of your expression.
