A staggering 96% of those surveyed by application platform, KnowledgeKube, identified that more than a quarter of their processes were inefficient.

Award-winning app development platform, KnowledgeKube has been selected by underwriting agency Metier Trading Limited to deliver a trading application that will scale sales objectives worldwide.

The application will improve efficiency of trading for Metier and allow it to scale quickly as it continues to develop insurance and re-insurance products globally.

Metier leaders aim to collaborate with a team of implementers to rapidly prototype and deploy a Cloud-based application, using the KnowledgeKube platform to deliver a truly agile development process without writing code.

Stuart McAlister at Metier Trading Limited, said: ‘‘Working with KnowledgeKube, we have been able to develop an application that enables us to take specialist insurance products to the carrier and broker community in a consistent and accurate fashion.

“This means that we are in a position to leverage competitive advantage, scaling up the business to meet market and partner demand worldwide.’’

Having created the application initially, a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) licence will enable Metier business users to create, test and manage additional product lines online into the future – all without the need to write code.

Peter Robbins, managing director at Mercato Solutions – creators of KnowledgeKube, said: The insurance industry is often tasked with taking complex insurance products to market which requires bespoke development from an already time-starved IT team. KnowledgeKube empowers all users – with or without an IT background – to experiment, build and launch specialist or complex insurance products into new markets. Users can achieve this without the usual time, cost and risk associated with traditional development.’’
