Video: SCEWC15 - Albert Seubers, Atos. What are Smart Cities?

Posted on 01 December 2015
A staggering 96% of those surveyed by application platform, KnowledgeKube, identified that more than a quarter of their processes were inefficient.

Albert Seubers from Atos looks at all of the topics presented when explaining a Smart City; safety, transport and understanding how people live and move. He highlights that the most important aspect of a Smart City is the data – “it’s all about the data” Albert states. He explains that we need to share and collect data in public spaces in order to adapt. Additionally, this data needs to be supported by the government in order to create a greater economy. However, the challenge we face with data is the sheer mass of it, so there is a need for smart and easy solutions that understand this data.
