A staggering 96% of those surveyed by application platform, KnowledgeKube, identified that more than a quarter of their processes were inefficient.

Birmingham based software company, Mercato Solutions, has been awarded a prestigious ‘Innovator’ award at the West Midlands Business Masters Awards.

The award recognises the business’s no-code software platform, KnowledgeKube, which enables non-technical people to quickly create advanced web and mobile apps without writing a single line of computer code. Apps are therefore created quicker, and at less cost and risk than traditional software development approaches.

As a UK first, this no-code platform tackles a global IT skills shortage head-on, and in doing so, has allowed Mercato Solutions to hire, train and upskill non-IT people with the right type of core skills. The software platform is enabling people to flourish on a new career path.

A growing team from diverse backgrounds including call centre operators, nursing, back-to-work schemes and apprentices now builds advanced apps for national and international organisations.

And as the KnowledgeKube platform is now being licensed so customers can themselves create their own advanced apps, Mercato is set for growth.

Chris Griesbach, Commercial Director at Mercato Solutions commented: “In today’s fast paced technology market, we are truly honoured to be awarded such a distinction.

“This award recognises the continued innovation and development behind KnowledgeKube, which is making a difference to many people. It tackles the IT skills shortage head-on, upskills non-IT people to deliver what they previously thought impossible and, more importantly, makes really advanced app creation more accessible to organisations.

“This means the switch to digitisation and the business transformation it brings will allow more organisations to thrive in line with a more buoyant economy.”
