Award-winning app platform, KnowledgeKube, is growing its mission to empower cities and citizens to create apps, by joining Microsoft, Oracle and KPMG as a Smart City thought leader on the City Protocol Task Force.

City Protocol is a collaborative innovation framework that fosters city-centric solutions that benefit citizens and their quality of life.  And the Task Force is an independent community of global experts who collaborate and develop protocol for more efficient, resilient and sustainable future cities.

KnowledgeKube’s place on the Task Force will provide an ecosystem of app development and innovation via its ‘my smart city app’ initiative launched at Smart City Expo 2015.

‘My smart city app’ provides free aPaaS ‘Sandbox’ access for cities and citizens to rapidly prototype apps.  This citizen-centric ecosystem enables citizen developers to innovate by easily connecting disparate, Open and custom city data within web and mobile apps without writing code.

The City Protocol Task Force will therefore be able to steer leadership in the area of implementing transformation of cities via an initiative that empowers users, with or without an IT background, to quickly create interoperable apps for more integrated urban environments.
